ENGLISH CLASSES FOR SENIORS
English classes for Seniors, this activity started from October 2019. English Classes for seniors will help them to integrate to this society, since English is one of the languages spoken in Canada. The fact that they will receive the English classes with contemporary people will motivate them to attend the classes and learn. The purpose of these classes is to provide the vocabulary and the grammar required for them to communicate at the supermarkets, restaurants, asking for something, etc. Once our senior 60+ people learn the basic vocabulary/grammar in English they will feel confident to socialize with the rest of the community. In this way, the VCAC is executing one of the mandate that is helping members to adapt and integrate to the Canadian Culture.
Spanish Classes for the Canadian Community
The VCAC offers Spanish Classes for the Canadian Community because Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world. Communicating in Spanish is very important especially when people, whose first language is no Spanish, are on vacation to communicate at airports, hotels and restaurants. The VCAC’s Spanish program offers the minimum vocabulary to guarantee to the participants a good communication/understanding while visiting countries where the language spoken is Spanish. Finally, this program is offered at reasonable cost.
CLUB DE PADRES Y ABUELOS
(PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS CLUB)
Supporting the Seniors of the Venezuelan Community in their integration to the Canadian society and in their needs. More than a club, a large family, space for inclusion and meeting friends, to share learning, entertainment, experiences and memories in a happy and fun environment. This club started in 2015 and is currently active.
The VCAC organizes social networking to get the integration of the community through interacting with other members of the community to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.
