Venezuelan Culture Days 2025
The Venezuelan Canadian Association of Calgary (VCAC) is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary with the Venezuelan Culture Days (VCD), the association’s most significant cultural event. The first edition of VCD was held in 2014, originating as a bilateral initiative between the Venezuelan Canadian Association of Calgary and the Cantares Latin Choir. Since then, Venezuela has annually showcased the richness and vibrancy of its culture in Calgary, highlighting the best Venezuelan artists, culinary traditions, and cultural expressions through folklore, dance, music, film, theatre, food, and crafts.

Ensamble Gurrufío is a quartet dedicated to the research, arrangement,
and reinterpretation of Venezuelan instrumental music. Ensamble Gurrufío has been in business for over 40 years, offering versatile, multifaceted contemporary instrumental music deeply rooted in Venezuelan tradition.
Seeing them perform live is a unique and enjoyable experience, showcasing the range and rhythmic and
melodic richness of a repertoire that reflects a broad aesthetic exploration, with arrangements that exploit,
explore, reinterpret, and universalize elements of the musical genres.

En este relato el personaje se lanza a la aventura de buscar su familia perfecta, llegando a la conclusión, despues de haber experimentado con algunos circulos familiares, que no hay familia perfecta y que la suya era definitivamente la mejor que le habia tocado. La historia nos hace reflexionar acerca de nuestra propia familia, llevandonos a entender, comprender y hasta sentir orgullo de nuestras raices, de nuestra familia con sus costumbres y cultura, los cuales nos definen como persona.
